Complete brass set of nested cup-weights, probably made in Nuremburg, with markings of Ferdinand and Isabel of Spain, ex-"Pewter Wreck" (mid-1500s). 222 grams, 1-1/4" tall x 1-1/2" in diameter at widest. Virtually intact weight set (just missing metal from lid, cracked hasp and vessel with a twisted cut) with many markings: yoke, arrows and castle (in bottom of vessel), rose (on top of lid), and AHES Spanish adjuster's mark (in bottom of each cup). From the "Pewter Wreck" (mid-1500s), with original photo-certificate and media packet from the salvagers (Global Marine Exploration) and pedigreed to the Wilkinson's (UK) auction of November 2013, lot #483.
