Colonial or Revolutionary War-period wooden deadeye, encrusted as found. 1443 grams, 7" diameter, 3-1/2" thick. Overall good condition but with some surface loss and wormholes, the "eyes" with encrustation and one with a shell covering it, found in the early 1900s by a Virginia waterman while harvesting shellfish. With photo-certificate. Recovered from: Unidentified 1700s wreck in the York River, Virginia
