Colonial-era iron-mounted artillery horn, 1700s-early 1800s. 566 grams, 12-1/2" long. A colonial-era artifact, these horns carried grease for wheels, elevation screws, and other moving parts on cannon carriages. This example is American-made of age-toned light-to-dark colored horn affixed with hand-forged iron mounts, and hanging chain, in original condition with original stopper plug. With photo-certificate.
