Clump of twelve Dutch East India Co. copper duits (should all be dated 1752) in encrustation. 60.6 grams, roughly 2-1/4" x 1-1/4" x 1". Attractively display of thin but well-detailed coins (partially cleaned) in their original matrix of hard, dark-brown crud (as found). With original (generic) certificate from the salvagers, pedigreed to our Auction #8, with original lot-tag #1053. Recovered from: Bredenhof, sunk in 1753 off Mozambique, east of Africa
