Clump of 10 cob 8R encrusted onto a ballast stone. 2956 grams; approx. 7" x 6" x 4". One of the best artifacts to be found from the Atocha, clearly quite rare as almost all coins were thoroughly cleaned, these here completely "biscuitized" in black oxidation with shelly white encrustation (no details visible), veritably clinging to one corner of a big gray piece of rock, a large and impressive display like nothing we have ever seen before from this most-popular shipwreck! With original Fisher photo-certificate #85A-A326. From: Atocha, sunk in 1622 west of Key West, Florida
