Chinese porcelain lidded teapot, ex-"Nanking Cargo" (1752). 453 grams total. 4" tall, 9" long. Intact vessel with much brownish paint remaining, its design featuring a fenced garden with peonies issuing from a rocky terrace, listed in the Christie's auction as a "bullet-shaped teapot." From the "Nanking Cargo" (1752), pedigreed to Christie's Amsterdam auction of April/May 1986, lot 2138.
