Cartagena, Colombia, cob 8 reales, Philip IV, assayer E, small mintmark RN below denomination to right (late 1620s), UNIQUE with R-E-N to left. Restrepo-M45.8 (unlisted variant); S-C3; KM-3.4. 26.6 grams. Somewhat crude strike (doubled) and flan (cracked), but with bold full shield and crown with full R.E.N to left and clear denomination VIII vertically with smaller (secondary) R to right (the N below it not visible), full 162 of date outside messy cross due to doubling, VF with nicely toned fields. Note that Restrepo does not list R-E-N in his book, which is why this coin was later featured in Numis-Notas. Featured in Numis-Notas of November 2010 and pedigreed to the Stack's auction of October 2010 (lot #980).
