CURAÇAO, Dutch administration, matching set of four 25 cents (¼ gulden) cut from Netherlands 1 guldens of Willem I, 1821, each with script-C countermark in circular indent (1838), very rare, ex-Zeeuwse Leeuw. Schoenmaker-1388; Mailliet 2nd Supplement-G.9; Prid-29; KM-27. 10.43 grams total. Four “driekantje” wedges with tooth-cut edges that happen to match up perfectly to form the whole host design (very rare thus), each one well-toned VF or so, with deep XF countermarks, each piece a worthy collectible on its own but such a matched set as this brings to mind the phrase, "the whole is worth more than the sum of its parts." Pedigreed to the Zeeuwse Leeuw Collection (Schulman auction of December 2025, with original lot-tag 126).
