CUBA, Havana mint, copper-gold-silver 5 pesos pattern, 1987, 100 anniversary of the abolition of slavery (1886-1986), extremely rare, NGC MS 69 (70% CU - 20% AU - 10% AG). KM-PnG11. 12 grams. 30 mm. Dramatic design of a muscle-bound slave breaking chains (per KM-326) from a pre-series pattern mintage of only four pieces with slight differences in metallic composition containing gold and silver in addition to copper, the present example with light golden hue in places on the lustrous satin surfaces, practically flawless.
