COLOMBIA, Cartagena, low silver "imitation cob" ½ real, Ferdinand VII, no date (ca. 1815), very rare. Restrepo-108.2; Cal-unl; KM-unl. 0.66 gram. Narrow rectangular flan, VF or better with light olive color throughout, struck in debased silver under Ferdinand VII sometime after the Spanish retook Cartagena in 1815, using a cross-lions-castles and Philip monogram to resemble prior cobs that were of proper silver content.
