COLOMBIA, Cartagena, low-silver "imitation cob" ½ real, Ferdinand VII, fantasy date "II(?)" (ca. 1815), extremely rare, NGC VF details / environmental damage. Restrepo-108.2; Cal-unl; KM-unl. 0.37 gram. Thin, round flan with dark toning and light surface porosity, most of Philip monogram above II of date (third digit to right not discernible, probably either I or 8) and also full cross despite off-center strike on both sides, clearly a ½-real design (and cataloged as such in Restrepo) but attributed to ¼ real by NGC because of its rather low weight, currently unique with the “II” date in any case.
