COLOMBIA, Cartagena, copper "imitation cob" ½ real, no date (ca. 1815), struck over a State of Cartagena copper provisional ½ real of 1812, rare, NGC AU 55, "top pop". Restrepo-108.1; KM-unl; Cal-unl. Lots of both host and overstrike details visible, including a very bold full 1812 host date and most of the Philip monogram from the overstrike, with even dark copper color all over and quite choice in grade, tied with one other for finest in the NGC census.
