COLOMBIA, Cartagena, copper "imitation cob" ½ real, Ferdinand VII, no date or fantasy date not visible (ca. 1815), struck over a Cartagena provisional ½ real of 1812-13, very rare, NGC AU 55 BN, finest known in NGC census, ex-Toulemonde. Restrepo-108.1; Cal-unl; KM-unl. Full cross and most of Philip monogram (both off center) with quite a bit of the under-coin details visible, typically crude with patchy black toning (mostly in centers), choice grade (the finer of just two in the NGC census for coins without "dates"). Pedigreed to the Gregorio Toulemonde Collection (stated on label), Sedwick Auction 34 (lot 1150).
