Restrepo-6 (p. 111, this piece); Herrera-93; Medina-109; Betts-491. 34.80 grams. 40 mm. Design of a crowned eagle facing left with wings spread within legend SANCTA FIDES PRAESTAT FIDEM, with OCT. IDUUM AUG. / M.DCC.LX. in exergue, deeply toned over muted luster with long die-crack across bottom of eagle, important as contemporary with the extremely rare Colombian "pillar dollars." Pedigreed to the Santander Collection (Sedwick Auction 26, lot 1136), plated on page 111 of Restrepo's Coins of Colombia (2012), stated on label.
