COLOMBIA, Bogotá, gold cob 2 escudos, Philip V, assayer M to right, mintmark F to left (1730s), NGC MS 63, finest known in NGC census. Restrepo-M80.12; S-B26; KM-14.2; Cal-Type 243; Fr-8a. 6.75 grams. Choice full cross with bottoms of digits of date visible (uncertain, but probably 1733), full but slightly off-center shield with bold full assayer (reading vertically) to right inside (P)HILIPV(S) of king's name, lightly toned on satin surfaces, finest at NGC for the type without a visible date.
