COLOMBIA, Bogotá, gold cob 2 escudos, Philip IV, assayer A below mintmark NR to left, dots in ringlets (1636 only), NGC UNC details / removed from jewelry, ex-"Mesuno Hoard". Restrepo-M50.13; S-B20; KM-4.1; Cal-1792; Fr-2. 6.73 grams. Very lustrous with sharply struck partial shield, clear mintmark, assayer mostly off the flan, choice full and centered cross and tressure, some marks on the edge from prior mounting yet not affecting the design itself. From the "Mesuno Hoard" (ca. 1636).
