COLOMBIA, Bogotá, gold cob 1 escudo, (1713), no assayer (Arce), rare, NGC MS 64 (1715 Fleet Shipwreck Label). Restrepo-M64.16; S-B24; Cal-1771 (under Ph. V); Fr-5a; KM-unl (13 for type). 3.38 grams. Good full shield and cross, both slightly off-center, resulting in a clear king's ordinal II on obverse (Charles II posthumous), the shield showing recumbent lions in transposed quadrants and no dots in Naples-Sicily, in fact an exact die-match known examples dated 1713 (label says 1613 in error, in addition to a date-range of 1708-14, in any case tied for second finest behind a single MS 65). From the 1715 Fleet, with original Cobb Coin Co (Fisher) plastic and paper tags NCB3546MO and Fisher tag and photo-certificate PC12-31440.
