COLOMBIA, Bogotá, cob ¼ real, Ferdinand VI, no assayer (1755), castle with three even towers / right-facing lion, crude corded borders, very rare. Restrepo-unl; KM-unl; Cal-Type 9. 0.57 gram. Bold full castle and lion despite dark oxidation, the punches matching the style of gold coins of 1755, which was undoubtedly the final year of silver-cob production at Bogotá (with no higher denominations known in silver).
