Obverse with armored bust of Charles III (signed by engraver BENTO on truncation) within legend CAROLO III . HISP . CATH . REGI . ET IND . IMP.; reverse with crowned eagle facing left with wings spread within legend SANCTA FIDES PRAESTAT FIDEM, with OCT. IDUUM AUG. / M.DCC.LX. in exergue. Holed and gilt, otherwise bold XF with a few light scratches, important as contemporary with the extremely rare Colombian "pillar dollars."
