CHILE, Santiago, bust 8 reales, Ferdinand VII, 1816 FJ, overstruck with Brazil (Rio) 960 reis 1821-R, very rare, NGC MS 62 (Val y Mexia Collection Label). KM-326.1; host: KM-80; Cal-1409. Full rims and overstrike details tinged with toning against lustrous fields plus traces of scarce under-coin details visible all over, including the oS mintmark and all four digits of the 1816 date, first we have seen and an important coin for collectors of both Chile and Brazil. Pedigreed to the Val y Mexia Collection.
