Brilliantly lustrous with no marks to note but small patch of white at top of date side, two-year type in 0.5 fineness and lower weight, currently tied with five others for finest in NGC census. Pedigreed to the Val y Mexia Collection.

NOTE: We feature here a complete set of Chilean pesos of the design known as “Hoz y Martillo” (Sickle and Hammer) from 1895 to 1933, beginning with a very rare pattern for the year 1894. This design is distinct from the previous “Condor Pesos,” which ran from 1867 until 1891.
