A Spartan uniface design struck during occupation of Copiapó in 1859 by Chilean revolutionary Pedro León Gallo Goyenechea, this example with deep stamps filled with luster but also faint surface hairlines, the denomination 1 lacking the base and top serif but clearly not a Roman I. Pedigreed to the Val y Mexia Collection.
