Bronze cannonball with spot of encrustation, rare. Over 13 lb, 4-1/2" in diameter. The well-preserved bronze shot from this wreck were an interesting find, as almost all shipwreck cannonballs until that point had been iron, this one fairly typical in size and smoothness (even brown color) but remarkable for retaining a small (2") patch of thick, appended encrustation. From the Capitana, sunk in 1654 off Chanduy, Ecuador
