British naval officer's flintlock pistol, early 1800s, with round brass barrel marked LONDON, KETLAND under flintlock. 1090 grams, 13-1/2" long, 7-3/4" barrel. Thomas Ketland & Co. was a firearms manufacturer founded in Birmingham, England ca. 1760 and produced guns until 1821, this attractive example made of honey-colored wood stock, fine brass barrel and trigger, iron ramrod, all in good working order.
