British bronze "picture medal" box made in 1910 containing twelve circular colored engravings by Edward Orme depicting the battles won by the Duke of Wellington in 1815, with explanations of the battles. 83.12 grams total. 75 mm. The title page reads, "The Battles of the British Army in Portugal, Spain, and France, from the Year 1808 to 1814 under the command of England's Great Captain Arthur Duke of Wellington" and consists of round, beautifully colored engravings of twelve battles encased in a dark brown bronze case resembling a medal with the obverse bearing a depiction of the Duke and the reverse a seated angel writing on a tablet, all in all a very interesting piece of memorabilia from the time.
