Brass pipe tamper engraved with initials "WI", ex-Eagle (1707). 8 grams, 1-3/4" long. Lovely rosy-gold colored piece essentially intact (one side of shaft is cracked) with clear WI (reversed when impressed) and stars above and below on bottom part, long nail-like shaft for holding, rare provenance from this shipwreck, possibly belonging to Jonathon West or John Wooding who were the captain's servants. From the Eagle (1707), with original box and photo-certificate from the salvagers.
