Brass parts of a sword handle (guard, pommel, and grip), ex-Guadalupe-Tolosa (1724). 201 grams total. Three-piece assemblage of sword parts: a hollow, rounded pommel with some corrosion on one side and three holes (as made); almost complete guard (minus some corrosion) decorated in whimsical scenes of cherubs adorning oval portraits of ladies; and a hollow, twisted-metal grip plugged on either end with resin. From the Guadalupe-Tolosa (1724), with original certificate from Captain Tracy Bowden through his contract with the Dominican Republic and copy of the article "Graveyard of the Quicksilver Galleons" by Mendel Peterson from the December 1979 issue of National Geographic.
