Brass "cross caravaca" (Spanish colonial, 1700s) from the Presidio of Mexico, in Riker case. 135 grams, 5" tall. An unusual type of cross with two crossbeams (smaller one above longer one) and supporting cherubs near bottom, made from two flat pieces sandwiched together to create hollow areas in between, ornate loop at top frozen in place, somewhat encrusted and oxidized but intact.
