Bottom half of an ancient clay pot, ex-Colossus (1798). 117 grams. 2½" tall x 3½" wide. The certificate states that this artifact is the remains of an ancient clay pot and the consignor postulates that this is the base of an Etruscan vase, which we cannot prove but seems likely considering this wreck was carrying the collection of Lord Hamilton, a famous collector of ancient Greek and Roman vases, among other things. From the Colossus (1798), with photo-certificate C/TH/568.
