Bogota, Colombia, cob 2 escudos, Philip IV, assayer not visible (early 1650s), mintmark NR to right, from the Maravillas (1656). KM-4.1; Restrepo-M50.23. 6.73 grams. Good full cross with one arm doubled, full shield with interesting 90-degree double-strike, AU-. From the Maravillas (1656), with original Marex certificate, and pedigreed to the Thomas Gray collection and formerly displayed at the ANA Money Museum's "Treasures of the Deep" exhibit (2014-15).
