Boarding hatchet, early American (1800s). 632 grams, 15" long, 6-1/4" wide. Simple 2-headed iron ax on a short, wooden handle, the blade end sharp (honed over the years) and the other end a flat point for use as a hammer or pick.

Update: Without confirmation, we have been told this is actually a British WWII-era firemen's ax.
