Blue-and-white Delftware teacup, ex-pirate ship Golden Fleece (1686). 52 grams. 2¾" in diameter at top, 2" tall. Typical cup with blue floral painting on the outside, bits of crazing visible inside, intact but for some rough edges on lip. The pirate Bannister had captured an Irish ship and taken it north of Samaná, where he held it for two weeks and removed everything from it, including Delftware china like this piece. From the pirate ship Golden Fleece (1686), with original certificate from Captain Tracy Bowden through his contract with the Dominican Republic.
