Blue-and-white Delftware handled pitcher (small) with lots of encrustation, ex-pirate ship Golden Fleece (1686). 298 grams total. 4" tall. Petite pitcher full of encrustation all over, with one large oyster attached inside top and another loose inside, the lip chipped and most of blue Delft glazing gone but still an interesting artifact and history. Pirate Bannister had captured an Irish ship and taken it north of Samaná, where he held it for two weeks and removed everything from it, including Delftware china like this piece. From the pirate ship Golden Fleece (1686), with original certificate from Captain Tracy Bowden through his contract with the Dominican Republic.
