BOLIVIA, Potosí, denomination set of 8-4-2-1-½ reales, 1688 VR, ex-Sellschopp. S-P39. 52.07 grams total. Date-matched denomination sets are very hard to assemble these days, and many of the Sellschopp sets like this one have been long since broken up. What stands out most in this one is the 4 reales, with three dates and choice full cross, but all the other denominations also have multiple dates (yes, even the ½ real) and nice details, the average grade being VF, with generally attractive toning, a premium set even without the famous pedigree. Pedigreed the Sellschopp collection (Swiss Bank Corp. auction of September 1988, lot 810) and to Sedwick Auction 10, with original lot-tag 789, also Sedwick Auction 16, with original lot-tag 617. If Tax Number is requested and supplied, buyer will be exempt from paying tax on his invoice. 1. By participating in this auction, you, hereafter referred to as the “Bidder,” are entering into a binding contract with Sedwick & Associates, LLC, hereafter referred to as the “Auctioneer,” and agree to the following Terms and Conditions:

2. Each lot will be sold to the highest Bidder unless the reserve or starting price is not met. Bids may be submitted in person or by mail, telephone, fax, email, or live on the Internet until each lot is closed during the live session. All nonlive bids must be received before the auction session begins. The Auctioneer or any of its employees individually cannot be responsible for errors in bidding or the loss or delay of any bids that do not reach us by the closing date and time, or for any technical glitches that prevent Internet bids from being executed. All Bidders must be registered before their bids will be entered. New Bidders must register 72 hours prior to the auction so that references can be verified, otherwise their bids may not be accepted. All bids are in U.S. dollars. THE SALE HOSTED AT AUCTION.SEDWICKCOINS.COM IS THE DEFINITIVE VERSION AND SHOULD BE CONSULTED BEFORE BIDDING FOR ANY POTENTIAL CHANGES, CORRECTIONS, OR UPDATES.

3. Winning bids will be reduced automatically by the auction platform to the next increment above the second highest bid. In the case of tie bids, the earliest Bidder will win the lot. Bidders are advised to provide allowable percentage increases to avoid losing lots due to a tie.

4. A winning bid is a contract between the winning Bidder, hereafter referred to as the “Buyer,” and the Consignor. The Buyer, whether bidding for himself or herself or acting as an agent or representative for another person or entity, agrees to purchase the lot or lots won and to pay the Buyer’s Premium and any shipping costs, sales tax, bank wire fees, customs duties, tariffs, or other fees or surcharges involved in delivering the lot or lots to the Buyer. Unless otherwise agreed to in writing by the Auctioneer, a Bidder acting as an agent or representative remains responsible for all obligations arising from the bid. Certain lots, particularly artifacts, may require special packaging and handling, for which a surcharge will be levied. Shipping calculations may delay invoicing. In some special cases, delivery may be arranged directly between the Consignor and the Buyer, at the Buyer’s cost. At no time shall the Buyer have any legal recourse against the Consignor for any reason. Buyers will be notified as soon as possible after the auction with an invoice reflecting the total amount due and shall remit payment within 15 days of the invoice date. Buyers who do not receive notification for whatever reason are NOT released from their obligation to pay on time. Sedwick & Associates, LLC may send invoices, statements, payment reminders, or other notices using the contact information supplied by the Buyer. If payment has not been received within these terms, the Auctioneer reserves the right to sell the lot or lots to any under bidders for their lower bid amounts. If a Buyer selected or provided a credit card as a method of payment at registration, or otherwise provided a credit card in connection with the auction, Sedwick & Associates, LLC reserves the right to charge that credit card for the total amount due if payment has not been received within thirty (30) calendar days of the invoice date. If a new client has neither paid the invoice nor responded to the Auctioneer’s invoices, notices, or attempts to contact the Buyer within thirty (30) calendar days of the invoice date, Sedwick & Associates, LLC reserves the right to cancel the sale and successful bid or bids, without releasing the Buyer from any other obligations or remedies available to the Auctioneer under these Terms. Title to each lot does not pass until the item has been paid in full. Any late payments, defined as 30 days past the invoice date, will be assessed an accrued interest charge of 5% per month.

5. Lot pickup will be available after the auction, not during the auction. Any lots not picked up in person, unless other arrangements are made, will be sent to the Buyer when the invoice has been paid in full. All domestic shipments will carry full insurance, but foreign shipments are made at the Buyer’s risk, with insurance available in some cases such as shipping internationally via FEDEX. Sedwick & Associates, LLC is responsible for loss or damage to lots only up until they are received at the address to which they are sent. Any transshipment from that address is the Buyer’s responsibility alone. For all international shipments, the Buyer is solely responsible for any customs duties, import duties, tariffs, taxes, brokerage charges, clearance charges, handling fees, or other governmental or destination charges imposed upon or in connection with the shipment or importation of the lot or lots. Such charges are not included in the purchase price or shipping charges unless expressly stated otherwise by Sedwick & Associates, LLC. Any special instructions for shipping, delivery, or payment must be in writing by letter, fax, email, or text and will be effective only upon confirmation by us. Verbal requests may not be honored. Generally, lots will be shipped in the order in which they are paid.

6. Due to applicable customs, import, security, shipping, or regulatory requirements, Sedwick & Associates, LLC reserves the right to decline shipment to certain countries or destinations at its sole discretion. In such cases, the Buyer may be required to provide a valid U.S. delivery address or, alternatively, the lot or lots may be held by Sedwick & Associates, LLC until arrangements can be made for secure pickup or delivery within the United States. Any such restriction may be imposed when the Auctioneer determines that international shipment presents security concerns, customs complications, legal or regulatory issues, carrier limitations, or other risks affecting safe delivery. Due to UK regulations regarding VAT collection on international purchases, we are no longer able to ship orders under £135 to the United Kingdom.

7. A Buyer’s Premium of 22% will be added to the winning bid for the total purchase price before any applicable taxes, fees, or surcharges. Any payments by credit or debit card will incur a 3% surcharge on the total. Payments by PayPal will include a 4% surcharge. A reacquisition charge, possibly different from the Buyer’s Premium, may be applied to lots won by consignors of those lots under reserves via separate agreement.

8. Acceptable forms of payment are cash, check, echeck, money order, wire transfer, direct deposit, PayPal, Zelle, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. Bidders should indicate their desired method of payment when registering for the auction. All payments by check or money order should be made payable to Sedwick & Associates, LLC. Payments per auction and per Buyer are limited to the following amounts: PayPal and Zelle, to auction@sedwickcoins.com, $2,500; credit card, $10,000; checks, $100,000. Amounts beyond this must be paid via wire transfer. All payments shall be in U.S. dollars drawn on a U.S. bank. Please contact us for instructions for wire transfer payments, for which bank charges may necessarily be added to the amount to be paid, generally depending on the country from which the wire originates. Overseas or international wires are not allowed for amounts below $1,000.

9. New Bidders who do not have established credit with us must supply commercial references in the numismatic field and/or a 25% deposit. Credit cards are acceptable in lieu of a deposit. If your bids are unsuccessful, your deposit will be refunded. If you are a winning Bidder, your deposit will be applied to your purchase unless other arrangements are made. Bids may not be accepted from any Bidder who has a past due balance with Sedwick & Associates, LLC. New clients who fail to make payment or respond to invoices, notices, or other attempts at communication within thirty (30) calendar days of the invoice date may have their successful bids and purchases canceled and may be disqualified from participation in future auctions.

10. Bids prior to the auction may be submitted by mail, fax, email, or in person, or by bidding online directly at auction.sedwickcoins.com. During the live auction, bids may be executed only in person, online directly at auction.sedwickcoins.com, or by phone by prior appointment. All bids, regardless of the method by which they are submitted or received, must ultimately be entered through auction.sedwickcoins.com to participate in the auction. Sedwick & Associates, LLC and its employees may accept and execute absentee, telephone, proxy, and other authorized bids as agent or representative for Bidders. Such bidding services are offered as a convenience, and the Auctioneer does not guarantee the successful execution of any bid or assume responsibility for errors, omissions, line conditions, technical difficulties, or inability to reach a Bidder. Phone bidding is offered only as a courtesy, and we do not guarantee any line condition or accessibility during or before the auction. You must remain available to receive our call when the lots you wish to bid on come up. Proxy bidders prior to live bidding have the option of preemptive bidding, in which our system will place a full maximum bid amount during live bidding when the asking price is a single increment under the maximum bid. This means the system may skip the intermediate increment and move directly to the maximum bid during live bidding. Preemptively bidding at your maximum protects you by using your full maximum to prompt one increment higher from your competition. Example: Your secret maximum is $500 with $25 increments, starting at $425, and someone has bid against you at $450. Normally your bid would be increased to $475, but with preemptive bidding the system will place your maximum amount of $500 so that your maximum will not be tied by the next bid. This preemptive bidding occurs only when the asking price is a single increment below your maximum. As always, a higher bid amount can still outbid you.

11. Most lots are unreserved, but some lots do have a reserve or minimum bid assigned by the Consignor. Some lots offered in the auction may include material owned in whole or in part by Sedwick & Associates, LLC, its affiliates, principals, officers, employees, or related parties, and any such party may have a direct or indirect financial interest in a lot. Sedwick & Associates, LLC and such parties may bid for their own accounts. Some lots may also have a reserve or minimum bid assigned by the Consignor and/or may be subject to direct bidding or reacquisition by the Consignor pursuant to prior agreement with the Auctioneer, for which notice is hereby given in accordance with 2026 Florida Statutes subsection 672.328(4). All estimates are given in U.S. dollars. This is not an absolute sale.

12. As an active dealer, Sedwick & Associates, LLC is able to estimate a reasonably low wholesale level for each lot and reserves the right to reject any bids below this level, generally at least 70% of low estimate. Furthermore, we reserve the right to reject any bids that we have reason to believe are not submitted in good faith. Starting bids are provided on auction.sedwickcoins.com when the auction is published, and bids below those starting bids cannot be entered. Prices realized do not necessarily reflect accurate market values so much as what the high Bidder is willing to pay based on their own needs.

13. All items are guaranteed genuine and as described. Certain information in a lot description or listing may come from an independent grading, authentication, or certification service, a consignor, a prior sale record, or a published reference. Lot descriptions may also reflect Sedwick & Associates, LLC’s own observations and professional judgment, based on examination, comparables, published information, and other relevant factors. References to outside records, opinions, or reports may be included as part of the cataloging context. Pedigree and provenance information reflects the records and sources considered in preparing the lot description. Descriptions are prepared from information available at the time of cataloging, and occasional errors or omissions may occur. Grades, designations, population or census data, attributions, and other third party opinions may change. Sedwick & Associates, LLC does not guarantee that an independent third party will maintain its opinion, grade, designation, or record. A later change or disagreement by a third party, by itself, does not constitute an error in the lot description or grounds for return. After delivery, the Buyer is responsible for any alteration to the lot itself, including cleaning, repair, conservation, or other physical treatment, and for any subsequent change to its attribution, pedigree, or description. This provision does not alter Sedwick & Associates, LLC’s guarantee of genuineness and conformity to material facts expressly stated in the lot description, as corrected on the auction website before the lot closes, or limit any responsibility that applicable law does not permit to be excluded. Sedwick & Associates, LLC does NOT guarantee that any lots can be successfully encapsulated. Auctions are NOT approval sales, and therefore returns will NOT be accepted UNLESS there was an error in the listing. Grading and estimation of corrosion are subjective, and differences of opinion cannot be considered errors. Lots encapsulated by PCGS, NGC, or any other third party company may not be returned for any reason. Disputes as to authenticity shall be resolved by submission to PCGS or NGC, and if their determination is inconclusive, then the opinion of Sedwick & Associates, LLC shall stand. Any disputes, including proposed returns, must be brought to our attention no later than 2 days after receipt of the lot or lots by the Buyer and BEFORE return shipment to us, with any applicable refunds to be made immediately upon receipt of the returned item or items by us. All returns must be received by us in unaltered condition and in their original, unopened, sealed flips no later than one month after the date of the first auction session. Late remittance can therefore negate return privileges. Any refunds for returns paid for by credit card will be subject to a 3% return fee. Returns paid by PayPal will incur a 4% return fee. In the event of loss or damage, Sedwick & Associates, LLC’s liability shall be limited to the hammer price plus Buyer’s Premium only. NGC or PCGS census data, including designations such as “finest known,” are given based on the date of cataloging and are not presumed to be accurate forever. Any group lots returned due to an error in listing must be returned in entirety.

14. In case of loss or theft, the guaranty is limited to either the reserve price, if unsold, or the hammer price plus Buyer’s Premium, if sold. Any extra expenses incurred by the winning Bidder or Consignor in order to bid, inspect, consign, or pick up the lots are not covered and are the sole responsibility of the winning Bidder or Consignor. Any potential or speculative value is not guaranteed.

15. Lots may be inspected before the auction at our private office in Florida by appointment only between Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern Time. High quality photos of all items are viewable on our website and on auction.sedwickcoins.com 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All photographs in the catalog and online are of the actual lots being sold but may not be actual size or to scale. Color and brightness of online photos may vary according to your monitor and video card specifications. We welcome requests for additional photos or HD video of the items to be sold. Photos taken by grading services may be included in the online lot listings. They may differ in color and brightness, and holder prongs may not be visible.

16. If the Buyer does not supply a Florida resale certificate, then Florida sales tax will apply as follows: If picked up in person, 6.5% will be added to the total, consisting of hammer price plus Buyer’s Premium, for all items that are NOT coins or bullion, and to all non U.S. coins whose cumulative total is less than $500. The same applies to lots shipped to Florida addresses, but the rate, from 6% to 7.5%, will be according to the county of delivery. There is no Florida sales tax on U.S. coins, on lots shipped out of state, or on total coin or bullion purchases over $500.

17. All Bidders and Consignors acknowledge and agree that the Auctioneer, Sedwick & Associates, LLC, does NOT guarantee that auctions will be unimpaired, uninterrupted, or error free and accordingly shall not be liable for such eventualities. Any errors in the printed catalog will be rectified on the website and auction.sedwickcoins.com as they come to our attention, and those corrected listings shall be deemed the binding descriptions at the time of the auction. The Auctioneer, in its sole and absolute discretion, may accept or decline any bid, remove bids and reopen bidding, withdraw lots, or change lot sequence or bidding increments at any time, even after the winning bid and winning Bidder have been announced. Any bidding disputes shall be adjudicated by the Auctioneer, whose decision shall be deemed binding and final. This auction is held in accordance with the rules of the International Association of Professional Numismatists, IAPN.

18. This auction is conducted in accordance with the auction laws of the State of Florida. The licensed auction business is Sedwick & Associates, LLC, Florida AB#2592. The Auctioneer and Bidder agree that the venue for all claims and disputes shall be the applicable court having jurisdiction in Orange County in the State of Florida, and that the prevailing party shall be entitled to all attorneys’ fees and costs. THE BIDDER AGREES TO WAIVE THE RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL.

19. All Bidders must meet the Auctioneer’s qualifications to bid. Any Bidder who is not a client in good standing of the Auctioneer may be disqualified at the Auctioneer’s sole option and will not be awarded lots. Such determination may be made by the Auctioneer in its sole and unlimited discretion at any time prior to, during, or even after the close of the auction. The Auctioneer reserves the right to exclude any person or company from the auction. Sedwick & Associates, LLC reserves the right to reject any bids suspected not to be submitted in good faith. If an entity places a bid, then the person executing the bid on behalf of the entity agrees to personally guarantee payment for any successful bid.
