BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 8 reales, Philip IV, assayer not visible (mid- to late 1630s). KM-19a; Cal-Type 327. 25.55 grams. Relatively broad flan with full cross and shield (some weak spots), bottoms of digits of date (1638?), toned in crevices, light corrosion. With original certificate from Captain Tracy Bowden through his contract with the Dominican Republic. Recovered from: Concepción, sunk in 1641 off Hispaniola
