BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 8 reales, Philip IV, assayer not visible (mid- to late 1630s), ex-Concepción (1641), mounted cross-side out in 14K gold wire pendant. 28.90 grams total. Nice, bold cross with clear castles-and-lions beyond a little doubling, partial shield (also doubled) with clear mintmark, light surface corrosion, neatly wrapped in a gold wire setting. From the Concepción (1641), with original certificate from Captain Tracy Bowden through his contract with the Dominican Republic.
