BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 8 reales, Philip IV, assayer not visible (late 1620s), quadrants of cross transposed, "flat" lions. KM-19a; Cal-Type 327. 26.26 grams. Thick, round flan with choice full shield and cross, smooth surfaces (little or no corrosion), toned on fields, small edge-crack. With original certificate from Captain Tracy Bowden through his contract with the Dominican Republic. Recovered from: Concepción, sunk in 1641 off Hispaniola
