BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 8 reales, Philip IV, assayer not visible (late 1620s), "hunched over" lions. KM-19a; Cal-Type 327. 26.62 grams. Choice full cross-lions-castles, well-detailed full shield with coppery spot near center, trace of denomination o-VIII to right, practically no corrosion, mostly toned. With original certificate from Captain Tracy Bowden through his Concepción contract with the Dominican Republic. Recovered from: Concepción, sunk in 1641 off Hispaniola
