BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 8 reales, Philip IV, assayer not visible (1630s). KM-19a; Cal-Type 327. 25.91 grams. Thick, non-round flan with good full cross, full but slightly doubled shield that is also off-center enough to enable a nearly full crown, that side lightly corroded, toned in crevices. With original certificate from Captain Tracy Bowden through his Concepción contract with the Dominican Republic. Recovered from: Concepción, sunk in 1641 off Hispaniola
