BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 8 reales, Philip IV, assayer TR (mid- to late 1630s). KM-19a; Cal-Type 327. 25.29 grams. Full but doubled cross and shield with full but displaced assayer, uneven edge with small part crude (as made), minimal surface corrosion and less toning than usual. With original certificate from Captain Tracy Bowden through his contract with the Dominican Republic. Recovered from: Concepción, sunk in 1641 off Hispaniola
