BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 8 reales, Philip IV, assayer TR (mid- to late 1630s). KM-19a; Cal-Type 327. 26.40 grams. Full but slightly doubled cross (also slightly off-center), 100% full shield (well centered) and mintmark-assayer and denomination, minimal surface corrosion, steel-gray toning. With original certificate from Captain Tracy Bowden through his contract with the Dominican Republic. Recovered from: Concepción, sunk in 1641 off Hispaniola
