BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 8 reales, Philip IV, assayer T (late 1620s), "hunched over" lions. S-P24; KM-19a; Cal-Type 327. 24.46 grams. Darkly toned piece with nice shield and cross (a trifle flat from strike in the centers), bold mintmark and assayer, a little corrosion confined to the edges. With original certificate from Captain Tracy Bowden through his contract with the Dominican Republic. Recovered from: Concepción, sunk in 1641 off Hispaniola
