BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 8 reales, Philip IV, assayer P (late 1620s), "hunched over" lions, ex-Sellschopp (Plate). S-P25; KM-19a; Cal-Type 327. 26.61 grams. Richly toned Fine, holed near edge, with full shield and cross (the latter off-center), desirable pedigree. Plate Coin 443 in Sellschopp's Las acuñaciones de las cecas de Lima, La Plata y Potosí (1971), also pedigreed to the Ponterio Auction of June 1994, with original lot-tag 139 and to Sedwick Auction 17, with original lot-tag 811.
