BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 8 reales, Philip IV, assayer P (1620s), quadrants of cross transposed, "flat" lions. S-P23; KM-19; Cal-Type 327. 23.62 grams. Bold P•P and full shield and cross, nicely toned, the edge slightly irregular due to original shape, edge-split, and light corrosion. With original certificate from Captain Tracy Bowden through his contract with the Dominican Republic. Recovered from: Concepción, sunk in 1641 off Hispaniola
