BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 8 reales, Philip III, assayer not visible, upper half of shield and quadrants of cross transposed, retrograde P mintmark ("q"), Grade 1, ex-Atocha (1622), mounted cross-side out in 14K gold twisted-wire pendant with shackle bail, emerald near top. 29.60 grams total. Well-centered strike on cross side bearing transposed quadrants, with rather soft details on shield, mounted in an interesting setting of thin gold wire mesh braided around the coin, the edges of which are somewhat tarnished, a large and thin shackle bail at top, and a tiny, bright emerald at 1 o'clock for added appeal. From the Atocha (1622), with original Fisher certificate 95A-2099 (tag missing) and 1996 appraisal certificate.
