BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 8 reales, Philip II, assayer M, rare, Grade 2, PCGS VF details / saltwater damage, ex-Little. S-P2; KM-5.1; Cal-668. 19.62 grams. Clear P-M to left of well-detailed full shield, distinctively early full cross-and-tressure on other side, only slightly less rare than the first issue of the mint under assayer Rincón (certificate calls it Philip III in error), with moderate surface corrosion all over but attractively toned, pedigreed to the cartographer who pinpointed the "mother lode" in 1985 (Edward J. Little). Note: PCGS label does not mention the shipwreck. Pedigreed to Sedwick Auction 12 (lot 342), with original Fisher certificate 86A-188862 signed on collector line by Edward J. Little in 1988 (tag missing). Recovered from: Atocha, sunk in 1622 west of Key West, Florida
