BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 8 reales, Philip II, assayer B (early 3rd period, "Great Module"), ex-Atocha Research Collection, Plate Coin 139. S-P10; KM-5.1; Cal-672. 26.73 grams. Very broad flan per the type with 100% full crown and legends surrounding choice full shield and cross-and-tressure, virtually corrosion-free and nicely toned in crevices, a very visually appealing coin that was an obvious choice for the original RC photo-plate. Pedigreed to the Bill Barman Collection of Atocha RC Coins, with original Fisher tag and photo-certificate 85A-237161 and official appraisal from 2019.
