BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 8 reales, Philip II, assayer B (1st period, "heavy lions"), rare. S-P4; KM-5.1; Cal-672. 25.47 grams. Broad flan with typically sharp details slightly marred by light to moderate corrosion, toned in crevices, full shield and cross, the latter with distinctively heavyset lions (which Sellschopp called "strong passant lions") that only appear with 1st-period B. With generic certificate. Recovered from: Santiago, sunk in 1585 off Bassas da India in the Indian Ocean
