BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 8 reales, Philip II, assayer A, variety with denomination as "oVIIII," rare. S-P11; KM-5.1; Cal-674 var. 27.09 grams. Round and slightly concave flan with some legend and full crown, sharply detailed full shield and cross despite doubling all over, bold assayer and denomination with extra I (not super rare as a die variety, but rare to see it so clearly), lightly toned XF. Pedigreed to Sedwick Auction 20 (lot 796).
