BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 8 reales, 1760 Y-q-(V), very rare, ex-Mastalir. S-unl; KM-unl (40 for Type); Cal-unl (Type 65). 25.85 grams. Chunky flan showing full pillars with full and clear date, partial Y at upper right and q at bottom left (the V to right of cross not visible but known from another example), very rare "triple assayer" final issue of Ferdinand VI followed by V-Y under Charles III in the same year (see 1985 monograph by Carlos Janson in Cuadernos de Numismática y Ciencias Históricas), off-center cross, XF+ with light sediment on fields, flat peripheries with typical surface roughness (as made). Pedigreed to the Roberto Mastalir Collection, with his tag.
